Adults 18 years, of age and over: Take 1 capsule daily for at least 7 days and up to 14 days.
Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush, chew or open the capsule. Not intended for immediate relief. It may take a few days to achieve maximum results.
Do not take for more than 14 days unless directed by a doctor.
USAGE ADVICE The bottle contains a sealed container with silica gel desiccant. Keep the bottle tightly closed to protect from moisture.

Open the lid and take this mini capsule in your hand. Place the capsule between your thumb and forefinger. Raise the capsule from one side to cover the esomeprazole. Take this mini capsule with water, with or without food.SIDE EFFECTS The side effects are generally mild and temporary. Most people experience mild to moderate side effects within one to three days. Most side effects are temporary. Consult your doctor if they persist or last longer.
The gel is for people with mild to severe heartburn and acid reflux. It should be used twice daily, with a mixture of isoproteren as a single dose and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) daily. The gel should be applied twice a day and should be stored at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C.
The recommended starting dose of Nexium is one 20 mg tablet twice a day for 14 days. The maximum recommended dose is one 20 mg tablet three times a day.
To treat acid regurgitation, take Nexium as prescribed by your doctor. You should finish the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if you feel better. If you do not receive a refill within 14 days, contact your doctor.

Each tablet contains: 2.5 mg of isopropyl myristate and 5 mg of sodium hydroxide. The myristoylated drug acts by blocking the reabsorption of acid in the stomach. This reabsorption can cause symptoms such as an acid-related burning or stinging sensation in the skin, a burning sensation when acid is absorbed, burning sensation when passing water, numbness or tingling of the hands, or burning with or after passing water. It also causes stomach irritation.
Avoid taking Nexium if you are also using another PPI within 14 days.
Do not use proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) daily while taking Nexium.
Nexium, when used in conjunction with a proper diet, regular exercise, and a balanced diet, can reduce the risk of stomach upset.
Do not use Nexium if you are hypersensitive to esomeprazole or to any of the excipients listed at the end of the leaflet. Do not use in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.
Do not use Nexium if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. If you are hypersensitive to lansoprazole or other proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole), or any of the excipients listed at the end of this leaflet, do not use Nexium.
Do not combine Nexium with other medicines that treat anemia or nerve pain.
Nexium can increase the risk of developing blood clots in the chest or legs. This can make it more difficult to get or keep an erection. If you have a history of heart attack or stroke, chest pain, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, talk to your doctor before using Nexium.
Nexium should not be taken if you have high blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
Inform your doctor if you have or have had heart failure.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or if you are dehydrated.

Nexium passes into breast milk. If you are a woman, use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration of symptoms. Do not use in the breast milk as it may cause harm to the infant.

The gel may take from 30 to 60 minutes to work. To prevent the gel from sticking to the skin, wash your hands after you apply the gel.
